Jackson Cade James Street
I’m a Bristol-based artist, illustrator, animator and model-maker working under the banner of Cade Creative.
Above all, I’m a storyteller. I love to mix digital and physical techniques – illustration, dioramas and animation – to create unique, immersive worlds. My narratives are modest with sombre colour palettes, and I use stark shadows and contrasts to create emotive atmospheres. But no two projects are ever the same. Experimenting is what inspires me!
Recently, I’ve worked on a stop motion animation film funded by the BFI, created dioramas and illustrations for The Story Museum in Oxford, and produced bespoke animations and illustrations for a wide range of clients. I teach After Effects to UWE students in Bristol. I also paint commissions of people and places.
